New Item

The BrailleSense 7 represents a fundamental pivot in assistive technology: moving from an era where a user must adapt to their device to one where the device intuitively responds to the user. By detecting finger movements on the braille display in real-time, the BrailleSense 7 facilitates "Active Interaction," ensuring a seamless flow of information and productivity.

Innovative Smart Scrolling

Our Active Responsive Touch (ART) technology tracks finger position in real-time with our innovative Smart Scroll functionality. As you reach the last cell of the display line, the display refreshes automatically, offering a natural, seamless, immersive reading experience akin to reading a physical book.

Modern gesture-based operation

BrailleSense 7 introduces a modern Gesture UI, activated directly from the braille display. Just like flicking and tapping a smartphone screen, you can fly through tasks and documents without lifting your hands from the display to perform commands and general operations, ensuring real-time data verification with less interruption.

Unique alternative interfaces

An Analog Scroll Wheel allows users to quickly skim and scroll documents in a similar way a sighted person uses a mouse. Scroll a document with one hand, while following the braille with another. An extensive front panel interface offers even more unique methods for command and operation.

Input your way

In addition to its built-in Perkins-style keyboard, BrailleSense 7 also Supports a Detachable QWERTY Keyboard allowing for high-speed typing in a familiar layout, maximizing efficiency for all users in a variety of situations.

Advanced Productivity Tools

With the 7th generation of our BrailleSense Braille tablet, we continue to bring our classic Braille-centered interface to the modern education and professional market; offering production of professionally formatted Word and Excel files, an enhanced Web browsing experience, and a robust suite of applications to help the modern student and professional manage work, school and life. In addition, new applications such as our Video and Play Store Search, as well as our new Quick Menu and Shortcuts Manager, bridge the gap between traditional BrailleSense access and modern Android functionality.

Versatile connectivity

BrailleSense 7 offers two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports as well as HDMI for convenient connectivity of multiple and various peripherals, including printers, keyboards, USB audio devices, cameras, drives and visual displays.

Robust Screen reader Support

BrailleSense 7 features USB and Bluetooth legacy Braille Terminal support, as well as the modern HID Braille standard, with the ability to connect multiple devices at once. BrailleSense 7 also offers Remote PC Screen Reader Control anywhere you have a Wi-fi connection, with either Braille or a full QWERTY interface, via NVDA Remote Support.
